Sand Density Cone Apparatus

The sand density cone apparatus is used to determine the in-situ density of fine graned compacted soil and verify the degree of compaction.

The sand density cone apparatus is used to determine the in-situ density of fine graned compacted soil and verify the degree of compaction. This procedure consists of removing and weighing a portion of compacted soil and replacing it in the hole with sand, using a simple apparatus, recording the volume of sand and then calculating the density of the removed soil.
We propose three models to be selected conforming to the size of grained soils. The 35-T0133 bigger version is recommended for gravel and  coarse-grained soil.
